In-room refrigerator did not work and gave off a very offensive odour. Understaffed and dreadful customer service in the breakfast area. It would be a simple matter to acknowledge a waiting customer with an "I'll be right with you," rather than very obviously (and pointedly) ignoring people waiting at the entrance. People didn't even know if they had been noticed. Not the premium service that your prices would lead us to expect.
The location and and the rooms were both great.
The TV Channel selection was pretty poor.
The hot tub is excellent and it is in a great downtown location next to shopping, entertainment, restaurants and the harbour.
TV's could be updated to reflect the price of the room.
The location is great, near local attractions
The hotel is overpriced relative to similar hotels that I use in other larger cities
Room was very nice. Linens were very fresh and of excellent quality.
Close to venue, great location, quiet, nice lobby, pleasant helpful staff
parking fee, old slow elevators, outdated room decor
the room that was booked and confirmed through Booked.net was not available, we were put in another room (standard double which they called upgrade). The Delta King non-smoking that we booked and paid for was not available. We wanted to stay an extra night, staff member told us that there were only 4 rooms left and maybe the computer system was not working properly so could not give us one then, so we were to check the next morning if there was one available. We did not stay the extra night.
Great location, very courteous staff, helpful, excellent food, the jacuzzi room was splendid, in room dining very efficient Had a large meeting which was excellent. Stayed for 6 nights
valet service when arriving slow....often no one there
I did not see a safe deposit box in my room. Not sure if I missed it, or it did not exist.
I liked that the beds did not have a bedspread and that they had sheets over the duvet. I am very fussy and the bed met my expectations. I also loved having the coffee machine in the room.
I thought the towels were a little rough and there was no shower cap.
at 4pm when we checked in our rooms were not yet ready and we were told by the front desk staff that they were not sure at what time it would be ready. they were unfriendly and unhelpful.
as above room dirty and old, it was so dusty
Fine central location in downtown Charlottetown.
Basement garage needs better signs for elevator, exit and so forth. The elevator from the basement to the lobby is quite small. Then you have to transfer to larger elevators to the guest rooms. Moving in and out of the hotel becomes a hassle if you have much luggage.
Nice pool, nice workout area and equipment. Friendly staff.
I opted to treat my fiance and i to the Premier King Room with Harbour view. Instead we got a, if you look to the right you can see some water...all we saw were buildings. The photos on the website were extremely deceiving. So other than the "view" and the king bed, there was nothing special about this room. Especially since there were children in every room surrounding us, playing and yelling and running through the hall our entire trip! Kids shouldnt be on the same floor as a king suit room which are clearly for couples.... Our housekeeping did not clean our coffee cups, pot or replace our coffee, we had to ask for more. Exercise facility should be 24hrs, room service should be later or 24 hrs like a lot of hotels.
The facilities were beautiful and the location was perfect. We were there for a gymnastics competition that was held at the hotel and it was very convenient to be at the same location as our event.
The staff was very friendly but the wait time for check in was very long. I realize that it was very busy there but I think it would have been better if they had planned for more staff to be present as they would have known how many guests they were expecting. We ended up, after waiting for over an hour, getting a wrong room with only one bed. We got changed to another room but it was nearly impossible to get on the elevator to go up to another room as so many people were on then coming from the lobby area and we had to wait for about 8 elevators to get on one. We had also received a noise complaint which I can guarantee was not us. We were being very quiet in our room but there were many kids roaming the halls and being very noisy. I can guarantee you that it was not us. A couple next to us yelled out at them and they did eventually quiet down at around 11:00 pm. The staff was very friendly and eager to please, but seemed out numbered, tired and spread too thin. I would like to think it would have been a much better experience if it was not so busy. The accomodations were very comfortable and beautiful!
